Hi Mary. For me, water is just like painting sand (dunes and ripples etc...) or wheat fields in the wind, clouds in the sky, or stars in the Milky Way. Nature has this "flowing and blending" thing happening universally. It's beautiful. Just go for it, as you did here in "California Coastline" and "viola"!
